In addition to the poems images and historical notes to complement the poems were added for the self-publication of this book.
We are indebted to Dr. Andy Seaman, Professor of English (retired), St. Mary’s University, who donated many hours of his time to the formatting of the manuscript for self-publication. The manuscript underwent multiple proof readings by Michael Sullivan, Andy Seaman, and Ian Morris.
The launch of From Fisher’s Cove, Trinity, Poetry and Prose by Siblings Rose Sullivan and George Hoskins was held in the garden of the Lester-Garland House on the evening of September 2nd, 2022 with readings by Ruth Lawrence and Des Walsh. Des and Cyril Toope provided musical interludes on fiddle and accordion. Whiskey and wine refreshments were donated for the event by Corby’s Distillery through Mr. Rick Hollihan. The weather was warm and the sky was lovely. The setting in the lingering twilight was perfect for
the occasion.
Forty-seven people, including members of the Sullivan and Hoskins families attended and the evening was well received.
The Historical Society is very pleased to be able to honour the memories of Rose and George, two gifted Trinitarians, through this publication.
