Mr. Kyle Downey

Kyle got his start with blacksmithing at the historic Pinkstons Forge in his hometown of Brigus, NL in the summer of 2016. Working as an assistant didn’t last long however, within a year Kyle was promoted to Head Blacksmith after completing several programs and ultimately receiving his Certificate in Artist Blacksmithing from Sandford Fleming College in 2018. Then onward Kyle operated the forge as the Head Blacksmith in Brigus for 7 years creating a wide array of products using the same techniques as the generations of Blacksmiths who worked there before him.

Eager to learn more Kyle has now come to Trinity to work with our team and is excited to see what the summer has in store.
