Barbara Doran, founder of Morag Loves Company, has spent 30 years writing, directing, and producing internationally acclaimed documentary and drama. Her credits include Random Passage, The Grand Seduction, Love and Savagery, and Newfoundland at Armageddon. She holds an Honorary Doctor of Laws from Memorial University and has received the Trailblazer’s Award from the Women’s International Film Festival.
Barbara will introduce and provide background on three Newfoundland films featured in the 2026 Summer Seminar Series. Her insights will illuminate the stories behind the films and the process of bringing Newfoundland’s culture to the screen.
